About Brazilian Butt Lifts in Austin, TX
The desire for shapely, alluring buttocks didn’t begin with J-Lo or Nicki Minaj. Aristotle was rumored to have said rounded buttocks are the most beautiful aspect of the human body.[1] One look at social media posts reveals that millions of people around the world agree with him.
What Is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift is actually more than just a “lift”. It’s a thorough body contouring procedure that utilizes autologous fat grafting to reshape and resculpt your buttocks. Autologous means tissue obtained from the same individual. This means there is no chance of your body rejecting the fat transfer. Brazilian butt lifts use liposuction to harvest fat from a location you wish to trim down, then transplant that fat into your buttocks. With this versatile method, we can modify your waist-to-hip ratio as you desire, increase the projection of your buttocks, form attractive curves, and fix any issues of asymmetry. With so much adaptability, a Brazilian butt lift can be effective for people with a diverse array of aesthetic goals. Some women want to amplify their natural waist-to-hip ratio while others might want to resolve excess cellulite from pregnancy. Whatever your goals, you can consider Brazilian butt lifts your complete gluteal remodeling procedure.

How to Prepare
The best way to prepare for a Brazilian butt lift, or any aesthetic procedure for that matter, is to maintain a healthy lifestyle and not view procedures as a replacement for diet and exercise. Aesthetic procedures should supplement already healthy living. Don’t stop going to the gym. Don’t just sit on the sofa eating bonbons just because you plan to get a Brazilian butt lift. In fact, your results will look better and last longer if you continue with your exercise routine and eat nutritious foods. An important pillar of a healthy lifestyle is to avoid smoking. Smoking increases the risk of many undesirable complications by impeding the optimal functionality of your circulation and introducing harmful molecules into your body. Follow any instructions that Dr. Booth provides you before your procedure and you will be on your way to the body you desire.
What Should I Expect During Surgery?
A Brazilian butt lift can be considered a liposculpture procedure. This means it removes fat from a targeted location then repurposes that fat to help sculpt the curves you seek. Brazilian butt lifts are a two-stage procedure that achieves dual benefits.
- The first phase uses liposuction to harvest fat tissue from a specific location or locations. Depending on your desired outcome, the fat can be harvested from the flanks, back, thighs, or other locations. The location to reduce fat deposits will synergize with the gluteal resculpting to create the most enticing contours.
- The second phase involves transplanting the harvested fat into the buttocks subcutaneously (under the skin).[2] At this stage, the fat can be positioned precisely to sculpt the contours the patient desires. Dr. Booth takes care to correct any asymmetries at this stage as well.
What Should I Expect During Recovery?
There will be some bruising and swelling after your procedure. This will usually last for a few weeks. You will be up and walking again after a day or two.
But, the most important thing for aftercare is: do not sit on your butt for at least two months!
The transferred fat has to revascularize. This means the new fat has to connect and form new connections with blood vessels. Expect to lose some of the initial volume of fat during this process. Up to 40% of fat might not survive the revascularization process. This is natural, so if your buttocks look swollen for a few weeks, don’t worry. Also important: avoid high impact activities (especially bouncing) for 6-8 weeks.
Results
Brazilian butt lift results can last for decades without any follow-up procedures. The long-lasting results are one reason that Brazilian butt lift patients and surgeons report high rates of patient satisfaction coupled with a low rate of complications.[3] For a preview of the care you’ll receive, read through our patient reviews.
